Matcha Sea Salt
Matcha, finely ground powder of specially grown and processed green tea, is an antioxidant powerhouse with a deliciously complex flavour. Matcha is special in two aspects of farming and processing: The green tea plants for matcha are shade grown for about 3 weeks before harvest, and the stems and veins are removed in processing. It can take up to one hour to grind an ounce of matcha powder.
This is a perfect finishing salt; with rich, complex and bittersweet flavours. It makes an amazing addition to desserts, white flesh fish, roasted vegetables, fried foods and Asian inspired cuisine.
Made by infusing organic Japanese matcha (green tea) powder in salted water and evaporating it together.
Sold in a resealable, air tight, rice paper bag.
